'N Crowd' Comedy Improv Team Returns to Steel River

‘N Crowd’ Improv Comedy Re-Scheduled at Steel River

January 25, 2024

POTTSTOWN PA – “The N Crowd,” a comedy improvisation troupe whose annual visit to Pottstown was postponed by a storm earlier this month, is determined to keep a Pottstown audience laughing. Its show has been re-scheduled for Saturday (Jan. 27) at 8 p.m. inside Steel River Playhouse, 245 E. High St.

The popular Philadelphia comedians have roots in the borough. That’s why they’ve appeared on the playhouse stage over a period of several years, and why they’re returning Saturday for one show only. General admission tickets priced at $20 are available for online sale now, or by calling the box office at 610-970-1199.

“With their unscripted brand of comedy you never know what to expect, so even if you’ve seen them before it’s a different show every time,” the playhouse said in a media release. “What better way to start the year than with laughter?”

The N Crowd has been a Philadelphia mainstay since 2005, and the group is known for its “high energy improv show,” it added. It’s won “Best Comedy Club” on the Philly Hot List several times. Be aware, though: some of its humor may be inappropriate for young children.

A selection of adult beverages will be available for purchase before the show from the playhouse concessions counter.

Also at Steel River …

Beyond The N Crowd appearance, according to the playhouse website, three more productions fill out Steel River’s current season. They are “The Cake,” to be staged in February; “Steel Magnolias,” in March; and “Nunsense A-Men,” during April.
