ALLENTOWN PA – Maintenance work by crews from the District 5 office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is scheduled for Wednesday (Jan. 24, 2024) in Boyertown borough, and Thursday and Friday (Jan. 25-26) in Bally borough, the agency said. Traffic delays should be anticipated.

Specifics of the work to be completed were not mentioned.

On Wednesday only from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Boyertown, drivers can expect delays in both directions of Montgomery Avenue, between East 6th and North Berks streets. Drivers were urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone.

On Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days in Bally, delays also can be anticipated in both directions of state Route 100, between Gehringer and Niantic roads. Drivers were again urged to exercise caution in the work zone.

At both locations, progress of the work is subject to acceptable weather and could be rescheduled if necessary.
