KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Inlet cleaning is scheduled this week on Lewis Road in Upper Providence and Limerick townships, the District 6 office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
A lane closure is scheduled Monday through Friday (Dec. 18-22, 2023) daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Lewis Road, between Linfield Trappe Road and Vaughn Road, PennDOT said. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. Slowdowns will occur, PennDOT cautioned. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.
The inlet cleaning is part of a $13.7 million project covering 50 miles of state highways in Montgomery County. PennDOT plans to repair, mill, and resurface 22 state highways in the county using bituminous material. The new pavement will seal the roads and provide a smoother riding surface. Highway Materials Inc. of Flourtown PA is the general contractor.
