Jersey Mike’s Shop Coming to Upper Providence Center

Upper Providence Center New Location for Jersey Mike’s

December 12, 2023

UPPER PROVIDENCE PA – Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems Inc., the nationally known overseer of more than 2,000 Jersey Mike’s sub sandwich locations already open or under development, is preparing a new store in Upper Providence Township. No opening date has been announced.

Workers were seen Saturday (Dec. 9, 2023) handling alterations and repairs for a “tenant fit-out” of the space in a suite at The Shoppes of Upper Providence center at 1837 Ridge Pike. It previously was occupied by an optometry business.

The township issued a building permit for the fit-out work in mid-September 2023. A township zoning permit for three permanent signs was issued only days later. The signs have already been installed.

Jersey Mike’s menu offers a variety of cold and hot sub sandwiches, kid’s meals, sides, drinks, desserts, and a catering service.

The company “has consistently been one of the fastest growing chains in the United States … with locations in 47 states,” according to an article from Redbook published on MSN. It currently operates 10 stores within a 25-mile radius of Pottstown, including one in Oaks.

It also is known for its charitable contributions. During mid-November, the company publicly campaigned to help food bank members of Feeding America by donating 20 percent of sales over two days to the non-profit organization. The effort successfully raised more than $4 million. Before its start, Jersey Mike’s had already donated more than $11 million to Feeding America since 2021, it reported.

Local food banks across western Montgomery, eastern Berks, and northern Chester counties benefit from Jersey Mike’s contributions to Feeding America through Philabundance, in Philadelphia, and Helping Harvest in Reading.
