November 29, 2023

UPPER POTTSGROVE PA – Three holiday music concerts featuring the talents of Pottsgrove School District students will be held between Monday (Dec. 4, 2023) and Dec. 14 (Thursday), all in the auditorium of Pottsgrove Middle School, 1351 N. Hanover St., the district announced.

All concerts start at 7 p.m., are free to attend, and open to the public. Free parking is available at the school. Scheduled are performances by:

  • The Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School Band, Orchestra, and Chorus, on Monday (Dec. 4);
  • The Pottsgrove High School Band, Orchestra, and Chorus, on Dec. 7 (Thursday); and
  • The Pottsgrove Middle School Band, Orchestra, and Chorus, on Dec. 14 (Thursday).

Each of the nights, the district said, will be “filled with beautiful and festive music.” The doors open at 6:30 p.m. Pottsgrove Music League members will operate a concession stand in the hallway outside the auditorium before and after the programs. Volunteer assistance is welcomed; register online to help.

In related music news at Pottsgrove, the district also announced its high school Concert Choir and Jazz Band are scheduled to perform Feb. 17 (2024; Saturday) at 7 p.m. for the crowd attending the Reading Royals hockey game vs. the Newfoundland Growlers at Santander Arena, 700 Penn St., Reading PA.

The team has proclaimed the date as “Pottsgrove District Night at The Royals,” and is offering free admission for Pottsgrove students when accompanied by an adult. Adult tickets can be purchased online; a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the school music program, it added.
