Lower Salford Repairs to Close Portion of Morris Road

Lower Salford Repairs to Close Portion of Morris Road

November 8, 2023

LOWER SALFORD PA – Construction to repair its highway base will prompt the closure of Morris Road in Lower Salford, between Route 113 and Schlosser Road, on Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 13-14, 2023) from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, Lower Salford Township reported.

Signage promoting the closure has already been posted. Public Works Department employees will be stationed at each end of the work area “to assist residents and motorists with access and detours,” it added. The township said it intends to maintain access “for residents who live on that portion of Morris Road, as well as for emergency services and school bus traffic.”

Public questions regarding the closure should be directed to the department during its regular business hours; call 215-256-8087. After hours, those needing more information can talk with Lower Salford Police at 215-256-9500. Anyone affected by the closure needing emergency help should call 9-1-1.

The work is part of what the township called its effort to make its roadways safer by identifying “areas of infrastructure that need repair and/or replacement.” It thanked drivers in advance for their patience.
