KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Live interpreting services for users of American Sign Language (ASL) have become available in six Comcast-owned Xfinity store locations in greater Philadelphia, the media and technology company announced. The list includes its store at 130 Town Square Pl., King of Prussia.
Comcast said it is the first telecommunications retailer in the country to offer live, on-demand, remote ASL interpreting services in stores. Its representatives will rely on a video remote interpreting service to access a live interpreter provided by a Comcast partner, Communication Service for the Deaf.
Of the other five stores, four are in Philadelphia and one is in Havertown. Xfinity stores in Pottstown, Exton and Quakertown were not among those listed as providing ASL interpreting.
