PECO Improvement Begins Next Week in Upper Frederick

North Charlotte Street Lane Closure in Effect to Dec. 31

October 29, 2023

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A lane closure will be in effect through Dec. 31 (2023; Sunday) on a portion of North Charlotte Street in Lower Pottsgrove Township, according to the District 6 office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in King of Prussia.

PECO Energy will perform utility construction on the state-owned highway weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Mervine Street and Kauffman Road, PennDOT said. The specific nature of the construction was not reported.

All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather. Drivers were advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work area. The state said “backups and delays will occur.” The North Charlotte Street work was scheduled to begin Saturday (Oct. 28).

PECO is at work on similar projects on several state highways across Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware counties, it added. The utility company is completing these projects under a PennDOT highway occupancy permit.
