Phoenixville Bridge Inspections Due Monday, Tuesday

October 22, 2023

PHOENIXVILLE PA – Two separate bridge inspections, accompanied by lane closures that may affect traffic flow, are scheduled to occur Monday and Tuesday in Phoenixville.

These inspections are part of a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the structures’ safety and overall condition. Inspections are scheduled for:

  • Monday (Oct. 23, 2023) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., accompanied by a lane closure on the Route 113 bridge over the Schuylkill River in Phoenixville Borough; and
  • Tuesday (Oct. 24) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a lane closure on Route 113 between Bridge Street and Vanderslice Street in Phoenixville Borough.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. Slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.
