Lane Closures Next Week Due in Washington, Hereford

LEIGHTON PA – Unspecified maintenance work on state roads will result in lane closures Monday through Friday (Oct. 16-20, 2023) in Washington and Hereford townships, Berks County, the Leighton office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reported.

Scheduled are lane closures in both directions, accompanied by flagging:

  • Monday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dale Road in Hereford, between Forgedale and Weaver roads;
  • Tuesday (Oct. 17) from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Seisholtzville Road in Hereford, at Route 100;
  • Wednesday (Oct. 18) from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oysterdale Road in Washington, between Landis Store Road and Route 73; and
  • Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oysterdale Road in Washington, between Landis Store Road and Old Route 100.

Drivers should “expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone(s),” PennDOT said. Work schedules depend on acceptable weather.
