BENSALEM PA – Pennsylvania State Police said a 43-year-old male drove away Wednesday morning (Oct. 4, 2023) in a BMW, shortly before noon from the Parx Casino on Street Road. He allegedly was carrying someone else’s wallet.
Troopers said they believe the suspect is a 43-year-old male. They also said they know the car’s license plate number, and the state in which it’s registered. Currently, the troopers are looking into what their report states may be a “theft of lost (or) mislaid property.”
The investigators are working at the casino on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bureau of Gaming Enforcement. They said the incident occurred as the victim, a 69-year-old Bucks County man, “unknowingly dropped his black wallet on the floor as he attempted to stand up from (a) slot machine.”
Then just “a short time later,” troopers added, the male suspect “picked up the victim’s wallet and departed the casino” in the described car, going through its valet-drop off. The report does not indicate how much cash, if any, or other contents were inside the wallet. They wallet itself, they said, is valued at $20.
The investigation is “ongoing,” troopers acknowledged.
