TREVOSE PA – With the stroke of corporate pens, members of Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spas in Pottstown, Royersford, Oaks, and elsewhere on Wednesday (Sept. 20, 2023) were provided with new locations in eight different states at which to indulge themselves.
An agreement between Hand & Stone and representatives of 23 sites currently affiliated with Massage Green Spa franchises will convert those operations into Hand & Stone centers, according to a Wednesday (Sept. 20, 2023) media release.
“Through this transition, we will be introducing our premium massage and skincare services to a wider audience,” Hand & Stone President and CEO John Teza said.
The former Massage Green facilities are located in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Utah and Virginia. The agreement may also result in opening two additional Hand & Stone sites in California and Michigan, company officials indicated.
A company webpage explains that its “membership privileges and prepaid services are accepted at all Hand & Stone locations in the United States.”
Ahead of the conversions, the company said it hosted the new franchisees for training at its Trevose PA corporate headquarters. Re-branding of the converted spas has already begun. All 23 converting locations will be fully re-branded as Hand & Stone properties by year’s end, it stated.
Launched in 2004, Hand & Stone has nearly 600 branded locations across 36 states and parts of Canada.
