POTTSTOWN PA – If ever there was a weekend to bring the family – and especially the kids – out for a fun time, this may be it.
Take Saturday as an example. Children will be treated like royalty at the Pottstown FARM, where its Two-Bite Club (above) rewards youngsters for tasting new foods. They also can learn about racoons in Royersford, and enjoy the company of pet therapy dogs in Schwenksville.
Watch them giggle as they ride amusements and follow the toy train at the Central Schwekfelder Country Fair, or revel in the wonders of autumn at the Northern Star Fall Fest in Collegeville. Then top off Saturday night with the Movie on the Mountain in Spring Mount.
Adults, don’t worry; you aren’t left out.
Get into shape Saturday morning with baby goat yoga (at top) in Pottstown. Later, wander through Oktoberfest in Boyertown, and enjoy a beverage .. or two. Hear the Bloom & Decay concert in Pottstown, the Rhythm and Brews get-together in Phoenixville, the marching bands competition in Royersford, or the Vuja De 25th anniversary show in Sanatoga.
Oh, and four separate car shows are planned Sunday. In all there are nearly 50 entries on the weekend calendar. Get out and do something.
Some weekend events are free. Some have fees (labeled as “ticketed”). Some have limitations, registrations, or other conditions. Some may be affected by weather conditions (hint: if unsure, call before you go). Each weekend listing includes a link for more information.
