PENNSBURG PA – “Stories of famous, infamous, and fascinating folk, found in the pages of The Genealogical Record of the Schwenkfelder Families,” is the subject Wednesday (Sept. 13, 2023) of the noon-time brown bag lecture at the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, 105 Seminary St.
Heritage Center Curator Candace Perry will describe how Schwenkfelders have collected family stories for more than a century. She’s selected several of the most entertaining or enlightening to discuss, and with a smile suggests some may involve members of your family!
The event is free to attend and open to the public, in person or virtually. To attend online, call the center at 215-679-3103, or send an e-mail to info@schwenkfelder.org, to reserve a place and get its Zoom link.
A previously scheduled brown bag lecture about corn will be rescheduled in 2024, the center reported.
The heritage center is the regional history museum for the Upper Perkiomen Valley, and is open Tuesdays through Sundays. Admission to its exhibits or research in the library also are free.
