Speedway Admission Drops to $10 for ’90s Night

Speedway Admission Drops to $10 for ’90s Night

July 21, 2023

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Race teams and their fans at Grandview Speedway, 43 Passmore Rd., will take a trip in time Saturday (July 22, 2023). The speedway’s ’90s Night returns then in a race program sponsored by T.P. Trailers and Truck Equipment of Limerick.

Members of the racing audience enjoy what may be the night’s best bonus: a roll back of grandstand admission to 1990s pricing. Entrance at the gate will cost just $10 “for a complete night of NASCAR Modified and Sportsman competition,” speedway personnel said. Children ages 9 and younger are admitted free. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members, and $45 for non-members.

Saturday’s three-division program features the T.P. Trailer Modifieds, and the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, joined by the Outlaw Racing Series vintage cars. That action starts at 7:30 p.m.

T.P. Trailers and Truck Equipment, a major sponsor at Grandview, serves as the official race event sponsor Saturday. Its representatives will be on hand to answer customers’ questions. It also will set up an open-to-the-audience display trailer in the grandstand paddock area at Turn One.

T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman competitors are being challenged on ’90s Night with a $500 bonus from Gilmore Motorsports and Hoffman Speed Supplies. The challenge: teams are being asked to use a 1990s-era right-side pan hard-bar suspension set-up on their cars. The first car across the finish in the Sportsman feature receives the bonus.

Pit gates will open at 4 p.m.; grandstand gates, at 5:30 p.m. Warm-ups start at 6:15 p.m., and the first race of the evening gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night also includes the season’s fourth trivia night, in which fans can win prizes after answering questions about racing at Grandview.

A pre-race meet-and-greet with “the guys from Low Down and Dirty” is scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m. in the main gate area. Brett Gilmore, Kyle Smith, Adrianna Delliponti, and Tori Hall are the featured drivers. They’ll be on hand with their cars. The speedway suggests it’s “a great time for fans to meet favorite drivers, collect autographs, take photos, and talk about racing.”

Grandview Speedway has presented wheel-to-wheel NASCAR stock car racing since the 1960s. Information about the track and coming events is available online, on its Facebook page, or by calling 610-754-7688.

Ahead in the ‘Thunder On The Hill’ series

The “Thunder on the Hill Racing Series” will present the High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series on Tuesday (July 25, 2023) at Grandview. The stand-alone 410 Sprint-only program expects to pay a series-record $23,023 to the 40-lap feature winner. Advance tickets for this event are available on TicketHoss, and also at the track on race day.

Adult general admission tickets (no reserved seating) will be $40; children ages 6-11, $20; with ages 5 and younger admitted free. The pit fee will be $45 (no license is required) and will be sold only on race day at the pit gate. The rain date for the event is Wednesday (July 26).
