KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Missing cash vouchers and slot machine damage were among subjects of recent reports from King of Prussia by Pennsylvania State Police. The troopers were stationed at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, 1160 First Ave., on behalf of the state Bureau of Gaming Enforcement.
Theft of lost or mislaid property July 17
Troopers said they are investigating the alleged theft Monday (July 17, 2023) at 2 a.m. of two cash vouchers. One was valued at $60, and the second at $50, both taken from locations on the casino floor.
They said the suspect, a woman who so far remains unidentified, “picked up (the) two vouchers that did not belong to her and departed the property.” Her victim was a 36-year-old Collegeville man.
The woman is being sought.
An earlier (July 14) theft incident
A 63-year-old man was charged with theft of lost or mislaid property following a July 14 (Friday) incident at 10:54 p.m. Troopers alleged the suspect took a cash voucher valued at $38 after it was left at a slot machine.
The victim later returned to the machine to discover the voucher was gone. He reported it to casino security personnel. They attempted to apprehend the suspect, but he “evaded security and fled the casino,” troopers wrote.
A conditional eviction was later enforced against the suspect.
Criminal mischief damage July 7
Hitting anything usually solves nothing. It can hurt your hand too, as an unidentified man probably learned the hard way July 7 (Friday) at 5:55 a.m., troopers reported.
They say a male suspect, who was not identified by name, age, or hometown, “forcefully struck the screen of a slot machine” at the casino. They did not indicate whether he was injured, or needed any medical attention.
His wallet may have suffered the hardest blow. The slot machine damage amounted to $1,092.23. He paid restitution to the casino in full, the troopers’ report stated.
Criminal trespass
Three individuals in separate and unrelated incidents were cited by troopers for criminal trespass. Two were observed on the casino property after having been previously evicted from it. Involved were:
- On July 18 (Tuesday) at 11:49 a.m., a 26-year-old man from Collegeville ; and
- On July 16 (Sunday) at 12:40 a.m., a 36-year-old man from New Holland.
Also cited, on July 13 (Thursday) at 6:01 p.m., was a 47-year-old Philadelphia man. As a state-excluded person, troopers said, he entered the casino sports book area in violation of an order.
