KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Curbside ramp installations in Pottstown, and pavement line striping in Upper Providence Township, may create traffic lane closures next week.
The work is among coming construction activities reported by the King of Prussia office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Ramp installations in Pottstown
In Pottstown, lane closures are scheduled on Hanover Street for two separate installations of ramps required by the Americans With Disabilities Act. They will be located at the intersections of Hanover and Chestnut, and Hanover and Walnut streets. Both will occur Monday through Friday (July 17-21, 2023), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Line striping in Upper Providence
In Upper Providence, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 between the U.S. Route 422 interchange and the Chester County line. Crews will conduct line striping operations. The work is planned for Sunday through Friday (July 16-21) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. Slowdowns may occur, PennDOT said. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather. The activities are part of the department’s program to ensure safety and overall condition of state highways.
