LOWER FREDERICK PA – Rain won’t be a worry for Thursday night’s scheduled summer concert, according to the Lower Frederick Parks and Recreation Board.
The “Barefoot Bobby and the Breakers” performance scheduled to start Thursday (June 22, 2023) at 7 p.m. in the township’s Cuddy Park will proceed as planned, board members reported at mid-day. Two different weather reports indicate visitors may want to wear light jackets or sweaters due to cooling temperatures, they said, but no rain is expected until after the concert ends.
Volunteers were at the park Thursday afternoon erecting traffic directional devices, parkin signs, and decorative tree lights, they added. “Concert tonight is a ‘go,'” their e-mail said.

Lower Frederick Concerts Launch with Barefoot Bobby
LOWER FREDERICK PA – Barefoot Bobby and the Breakers will make their splash Thursday (June 22, 2023) as the first band of the summer season performing in Lower Frederick Township.
The township Parks and Recreation Board’s summer concert is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. at Cuddy Park on Colonial Drive. It’s free to attend and open to the public. Parking is plentiful, and so is the expanse of lawn that faces the band. Bring a blanket on which to stretch out, or a comfortable folding chair for the same purpose.
In case of inclement weather, June 29 (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. at Cuddy has been reserved as a rain date.
Barefoot Bobby and the Breakers define their music as their “own spin on classic rock, country, trop rock, blues and Motown hits.” The Bucks County-based musicians formed as a group in 2015, and annually perform about 80 shows a year, according to their website.
Expect to be hungry during the concert? Bring a snack or meal, or take advantage of the menu of the “Downtown Scoop” ice cream truck, which will be available during the show. Dogs are allowed to enjoy the music as well, but please keep them leashed for the safety and comfort of others. Cuddy also features a dog park that’s perfect for those best friends.
Two other concerts are scheduled by the township, both also at Cuddy from 7-9 p.m., on July 27 and Aug. 24, respectively. Their headliners have not yet been announced.
