HARRISBURG PA – Take your kids to fish Sunday (May 28, 2023), and do it without having to buy a fishing license.
Pennsylvania’s Fish and Boat Commission has suspended the need for a license on this Sunday only, to encourage “families to ‘catch’ the fun of fishing!,” it said. In fact, anyone state resident and out-of-staters too can legally fish this Sunday only on Pennsylvania waterways. But be aware, the commission warned: all other fishing regulations still apply.
The state annually offers its fish-for-free deal on dates near two holidays, Memorial Day and Independence Day. It has already reported it plans to repeat the July 4 offer again this year.
